Mecca Restrictions
Though I am not a Muslim, and therefore restricted from Mecca, if it were possible, I would love to visit this sacred city in Saudi Arabia. Muslims describe it as a holy and reverend place where one feels a spiritual union with God and all creation. It would be wonderful to see with my own eyes the Black Stone as Muslims circle it in awe and deep respect. I think it would be spiritually and educationally edifying for me if I could on some level, experience Islam as Muslims experience it to better understand their belief system as it stands in contradistinction to Christianity.
My Final Letter
If I discovered that I only had one hour left to live here on planet earth, I would probably spend it writing a last letter to as many of those who meant a lot to me in this life as possible. I would thank them for the wonder and value they brought to my life and express the hope that my life enhanced theirs in positive ways. I would encourage them to keep their focus on the things that really matter with the time they have left and to always be gentle and kind to others as humans are very fragile creatures.

The Value of Life
Every morning I wake up I whisper a prayer of thanksgiving. When I pray this prayer I am recognizing and acknowledging the value of life. Sometimes when I think about what life really means it is mind boggling. Life in itself is a power so complex that it cannot be adequately described. We cannot fully grasp the fullness, breadth and scope of the life; life that enables us to pursue a lifetime of dreams and accomplishments. Possessing a grateful sense of appreciation for life puts all our petty complaints and frustrations into perspective. I try not to let a day go by that I do not take the time to thank God for the precious gift of life.
