Trip of a Lifetime
I suppose if I could go to any country for free, I would want to select one where I spoke the language. The only language I speak is English so that narrows the choices somewhat. I’m pretty sure I would end of selecting England because I know I could fully enjoy a trip there while having no huge communication challenges. I’ve been to London on a very short trip and I continue to want to return and fully absorb and enjoy it. Also, I tend to read a great deal of literature by British authors, and literature that is set in England in many different eras. There would be so many different things to do and see and so much history to examine and experience. I could spend several days at the British Museum alone. There are scores of locations in England that are written about in books I have read that I would love to see. Since England is a small country, navigation would be less time consuming which is another great reason for making an in depth visit.
One Hour to Live

I would imagine that I would spend my last hour of life trying to get in touch with my closest family and friends to express my love and probably a few apologies for past behavior. I would hope that I could be with the very closest members of my family during that hour as well. If I could have anything I wanted during that last hour, I would eat the best food I could think or get my hands on and drink the best wine. I would want to spend a huge portion of that hour in loving laughter and merriment. It would also be great to be in a wonderful setting like a beautiful tropical beach with everyone I love. I think that for a small portion of the hour I would need to be alone just to commune with myself and mentally prepared for whatever journey that would begin at the end of that hour. I know I would be nervous and scared and would need some time to calm myself.

My Ways of Communing With Nature
Fortunately, I live out in the country and just looking out the windows in our house entails communing with nature. We are at the least 10 miles from anything we might need, as in stores, dining, entertainment, etc. That 10 mile drive is beautiful and can be a meditation in itself. Mostly when I feel the need to be in nature I just step outside and sit on the porch. I meditate inside or out when I feel a need to get in touch with the universe. Another way I love to be in nature is to be around water; beach, lake, creek, etc. The site and sounds of water can be so calming. It seems pretty elementary that one purpose of nature is to help humans to get in touch with or stay in touch with the Source, God, or whatever anyone chooses to name it. At times the need to get in touch with the universe can be very strong. If that impulse is allowed and followed the sense of grounding, calmness, serenity and at oneness can be the most incredible and most enjoyable experience one can have.
