MY DOG MAX!

My dog max is the best dog in the world. He is a very smart dog and can do any trick you can think of. He is a mix of German Sheppard and a golden retriever. My dog loves to go on walks and also loves to run. He is very fast and can run forever without even getting tired. My dog eats about three times a day. He loves when we give him new bones and dog cologne. Max usually finishes his bones within the first hour that we give them to him. One negative thing about my dog is that he has an ear infection that causes him to shake his head constantly. It also makes his ears smell very bad! Overall my dog is one of my best friends and i will always love him.

My Cousins Dogs

My cousin’s two dogs have been brought up on a no-meat diet and they love bread and boiled food, including potatoes, beans and carrots. Gopi, my friend who has four dogs of various ages, ensures that even the snacks he gives his pets are vegetarian. I am doing my bit to lessen the impact of climate change caused by meat production. My dogs are healthy and active, mentally and physically. There’s a lot of variety in vegetarian food. I feed them dry dates, roasted grams, vegetables, boiled chickpea and fruits such as papaya. If I had fed them meat, they would’ve probably missed out on the little joys of experimenting with these foods. My oldest dog Susu (whom I adopted off the streets due to her old age) is partially blind and deaf, but is very alert for her age; this is evidence that they are not lacking in anything. She loves to wear dog jackets coats outside in the cold. Dangerous food includes chocolate and raisins, which are fatal. Oily or spicy food must be avoided too. It’s advisable to ask your veterinarian for a list of prohibited food.

Forever in Love

First and foremost, I am a mother of two lovely daughters and family comes first in my life. That wasn’t true when I was in college in the late 1990’s. During those years I hated kids and I see them more as a burden rather than a blessing. But it all changed when I met my husband who is four years my senior.  It wasn’t love at first sight because I literally saw him when I was growing up. He was one of my older brother’s friends.  I could not really imagine what I saw in him but it just struck me one day and I was falling for him.  We decided to get married in 2001 and today, we are celebrating our seventh year wedding anniversary.  We oftentimes argue but our day does not end unless we settle such petty quarrels.   I believe loves really do conquer all.

Buddy’s His Name

I have a dog named Buddy, and he is three years old now and my family got him from a local pet store.  Upon looking back it probably would have been better to adopt one as to not support the horrible practices that go on in pet stores.  Anyway, my family really did not think too much at all about getting a dog as well, which for some people might be the ideal for them.  The idea to get a dog was brought up only a week before we got Buddy, so as you can see the decision was a quick one.  We bought him a dog sweater too. When we went in the pet store to look at the different dogs, we saw Buddy as just a little puppy and only about 6 months old. We told a sales associate we would like to see him so we got to go in a little room and visit with him for a little to get to know him and see how he acts and how fun he is.  We then bought him home and made a makeshift barrier from the living room, made of boxes and stuff that really did not hold.  So for the first week or so it was kind of chaotic what with Buddy running wherever he wanted and not really knowing where to go to the bathroom.  But, in a couple weeks we got it under control and he is a very sweet and playful dog.  So, in short, think before you buy.
